Chie strikes me as both an odd choice and a perfect choice to tackle this boss. On one hand it's perfect because Chie and Tamami actually have a lot in common. They're often just seen as jokes. You can see it throughout the P4 games people often make fun of Chie when she's trying to be helpful. Even if this game there's a scene where she's trying to be serious and they're like "Heh, talk about meat, Chie!" so I totally get the logic of having Chie help Tamami come to grips with herself.
On the other hand, compared to Yu, Naoto, and Rise...she seems like the least important character to be tackling a boss fight.
This is one of my least liked stages.
Not because I don't like the song or find it especially difficult, but because that stupid clown suddenly balloons up towards the end of the song and ALWAYS startles me into mising a note or two.
